CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT THE PROMOTION OF SCIENTIFIC CREATIVITY USING THAI WISDOM TOYS FOR MATHAYOMSUKSA ONE STUDENTS
The aims of this research were 1) to develop a curriculum to promote scientific creativity through Thai wisdom toys for Mathayomsuksa 1 students, 2) to compare scientific creativity of the students before and after the implementation of the developed curriculum and 3) to study the students’ satisfaction towards the curriculum. The development was composted of 4 steps: 1) basic information study, 2) curriculum development, 3) curriculum implementation and 4) curriculum evaluation and improvement. The sample included 40 Matthayomsuksa 1 students in semester 1 academic year 2014 from Rattanakosinsomphod Bangkhuntian School. The research instruments involved scientific creativity test and satisfaction evaluation form. Data was statistically analyzed via mean, standard deviation, and paired t-test. The findings revealed as follows.
1. The appropriateness of the developed curriculum was at the highest level and all components were in concordance suitable for teaching implementation.
2. The scientific creativity of the students after the implementation of the developed curriculum was higher than that of the students before the implementation, at significance level of 0 .01.
3. The students’ satisfaction towards the developed curriculum was at high level.
