ABSTRACT
This research aimed to: 1) examine the problems and needs for
welfare of the elderly with the allowances in Din Deang District, Bangkok, and
2) compare the problems and needs of the elderly in Din Deang District Bangkok
by gender, marital status, level of education, a number of family members and
residential characteristics. The samples consisted of 318 people, collected
data by using the questionnaire, with acoefficientreliability. The statistics:
of 0.94 used in data analysis was descriptive statistics which included percentage,
mean and standard deviation, and inferitial statistics t – Test.
The results showed that : 1) the problems for welfare of the
elderly with allowances in Din Daeng District, Bangkok were at moderate level
as following orders : economics, recreation, health and social issues ; 2)
needs for welfare of the elderly with the allowances in Din Daeng District Bangkok was also it a
moderate level as following orders :
economics, recreation, social issues and health ;3) a comparison of problems
for welfare of elderly with the allowances in Din Daeng District, Bangkok found
no difference by gender, marital status, level of education, a number of family
members and residential characteristics and 4) a companison of needs for the
welfare of elderly with the allowances in Din Daeng District, Bangkok was
statistically different by gender and number of family members at the 0.05
level of statistical significance, but not statistically different by marital
status, land of education and residential characteristics.
The recommendation of the research are as follows: Government
and sectors related agencies should provide activities for the elderly to spend
their free time to benefit their Living, enhance revenue and explore the types
of activities that the elderly need to be supplied.
